As soon I stepped over the threshold and my eyes caught sight of statement lighting, blonde wood, cork surfaces and a shiny new coffee machine, my heart skipped a beat. Could it be? Has Dublin finally caught onto the 'coffee-craze' the rest of the world is experiencing? Since living in New York, I learned that coffee shops are least of all about the coffee itself! Being the new number one location for catching up with friends or, more and more being used as the working-from-home 'home office,' one wants to feel at home, while at the same time feel the luxury of something special. A great new neighbourhood coffee shop, with an interior that would make New York's finest blush, has opened on Meath Street, in the heart of Dublin's oldest corners. The French owner, Damien, bakes everything himself and has plans to expand the lunch offering from sandwiches very soon. Designer furniture, tasty pastries, unsweetened almond milk lattes and last but by no means least the ingeniously placed outlets at each table, will have me skipping back for more. This place totally lives up to the name, LEGIT.
