I have visited Paris numerous times but this was my first trip to Versailles. I don't think Ive ever been somewhere that has left me so in awe of the capacity of man to create such beauty. I am an Art History major and one of the things that makes me most at ease, is spending time studying art. This 2,000 acre land space is breathtaking from the moment you approach the sky-scraping gold-encrusted gates, and from start to finish has history and beauty flowing from it. I would recommend if this attraction is on your Paris-to-do-list, arrive at 8.30am, be the first in the queue, and wear comfy shoes (I brought my stan smiths as a sneaky backup!). Despite the never ending queue and blistering heat, Versailles was just as magical as I had anticipated.
On a more fashion orientated note, this kimono inspired shirt is the bomb. It's over-sized shape made it so easy to style, and I love the cotton-linen mixed effect of the material. You can never have too many crisp white shirts! MP x
